About Data-Fi
From the farm to family life, we make finding your connection feel simple.
Find your SIMOur story
We spent years helping farmers connect their tractors and equipment. Along the way, we learnt what it takes to keep rural life connected.
Then our customers began asking: could we help with their phones, their families and their businesses too?
That’s how Data-Fi grew — through people who knew us, trusted us and wanted the same straightforward help in the rest of their lives.

Grounded in rural life
From the kitchen table to the farmyard, the office to the open road, we understand that one connection has a lot to do.
We take the time to understand where you are and what you need, then help you choose a network and plan that fit. Clear advice, in plain English.
“You understand us, you know what we need, you make it simple and it just works.”
Rural roots. Global reach.
Our work has taken us beyond the UK, supplying SIMs to machinery dealers around the world. Today, we bring that same practical experience to your phone, your business and your connected equipment.

The Data-Fi guide
Begin with the job the machine needs to do, then choose the connection to support it.
Connected farm equipment can use data in very different ways. A tracker may send small updates, while a monitoring device, connected modem or camera can create a different pattern. Ask the equipment maker which mobile technologies, SIM formats and connection settings the device supports. Check whether it is locked to a network and whether the proposed tariff permits its intended use.
A phone plan should not automatically be treated as an equipment plan. Machine-to-machine installations may need an appropriate IoT SIM, while a compatible router serving people and their devices may suit mobile broadband.
Think beyond the office postcode. A machine may move between fields, yards and buildings, or travel to another farm. Coverage maps help you shortlist options, but local terrain, buildings, antennas and the device itself affect the result. Check the working locations and any intended destinations abroad before ordering.
Data-Fi IoT SIMs offer fully roaming, non-steered connectivity in the UK and Europe, subject to the included destinations, available networks and compatible equipment. That does not guarantee a signal in every location. Give the team the actual installation details so the relevant availability can be checked.
Use existing usage records where possible. Include busy seasonal periods, software updates, image uploads and other peaks, rather than choosing only for a quiet week. Understand what happens if usage exceeds the monthly allowance and review the minimum term and cancellation information.
Keep a simple record of which SIM is fitted to which machine. Once your Data-Fi account is ready, the platform provides bills and SIM-management options; access details are emailed separately. Before installation, ask us to check your device and intended use. Clear information at the start makes the setup easier to manage later.
